An Armenian curriculum, taught with care.

Every Sunday, our students step through the door into a living, breathing Armenian-speaking world — from nursery songs to GCSE-equivalent qualifications.

Curriculum

Three stages, one language

We follow the Languages' Ladder framework across four core skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing — building grammatical understanding and confidence from age 6 to 16.

Breakthrough

Years 1–3 · Ages 6–9

Foundation skills in all four language competencies. Students learn to recognise and reproduce basic vocabulary, understand simple phrases, and answer elementary questions.

Preliminary

Years 4–6 · Ages 9–12

Intermediate development where learners take part in simple conversation and express opinions, while expanding reading comprehension to include main points and opinions in written texts.

03

Intermediate

Years 7–9 · Ages 12–16

Advanced proficiency enabling students to understand longer passages, recognise people's points of view, participate in discussions and justify their positions. At Year 9 students sit a GCSE-equivalent diploma.

School day

Sundays, 10:30am – 2:00pm.

Four periods every Sunday, with a staggered lunch break. The day begins in form rooms with announcements, then teachers lead instruction with presentations, resources, and activities. The summer term ends with Sports Day and an end-of-year performance of poems, dance, and song. Our canteen serves Armenian food for students, staff, and parents.

Qualifications

A diploma valued by universities and employers.

On completion of Year 9 (around age 15–16), students receive a graduate diploma. Many alumni return as mentors for younger students — adding teaching experience to their personal statements.
